Volunteer in Visitor Services

Providing non-partisan assistance, volunteers help at the information kiosk, in the store, at special events and during session as chamber ushers in the galleries. Volunteers provide guided tours including information about the legislative process. Click here to download the application. Applicants will be considered when the program resumes.
Volunteer to be a Page
Students can become honorary pages for the House or Senate. Pages deliver correspondence and legislative material to officials in the building during legislative sessions.
Volunteer for a Senator or Representative
Learn more about the day-to-day activities of lawmakers by becoming a legislative intern. Each state senator and representative has their own requirements for taking on volunteers — contact their offices today.

Candidates and causes gather short-term volunteers to make phone calls, distribute materials, and canvass door-to-door to talk with supporters. Campaigns and candidates generally have a website with contact information.
